We are a special skills talent agency. Our goal is provide top talent to the film/movie and commercial industry. Our company mantra is: "To be successful is to make others successful". We hope to provide positive experiences for everyone we deal with, from casting directors, directors and stunt coordinators, to our amazing roster.

Commercials
The categories of employment we cover include Principals, SOCs (silent on camera), and Special Skills Extras. Reel Athletes seeks out roles in:
- local, national, and international television commercials.
- Industrial and training films.

- work resume and/or CV
- Acting/Film & TV experience is encouraged, but not required
TV/Film
Reel Athletes Inc. represents professional special skills actors for work in the film and television industry. This includes films, movies for television, and episodic television. A basic knowledge of acting and on-set procedures is required. The vast majority of our performers reside in Vancouver but some of our top clients live in other Canadian and American cities.

Stunt
Reel Athletes represents professional stunt people as well as professional athletes. An extensive background in these areas is necessary to be considered for this roster.
Staff
Rich started R.A. in 2001. Up to that point he had worked as a youth worker, backcountry ski and snowboard guide, valet, limo driver (for the Hell's Angels), ski tech, warehouse guy, cook, salmon fishing guide, builder of sk8 parks and BMX tracks, writer, and a miriad of other jobs. After working in Japan as a ski patroller, Rich was accepted into the Outdoor Recreation Program @ Capilano College in N. Vancouver, which was followed up with 5 years of working in the outdoors. When good friend and guide, Jim Haberl, died in a mountaineering accident in Alaska, Rich decided to take his skill set to the youth of his home town of Port Coquitlam. Working with Parks and Rec. he helped establish an outdoors program along with 2 teen drop-in centres. After 13 years with PoCo and Langley P&R, Rich along with Cam McRae and a small staff established www.nsmb.com as the premiere mt bike emag on the web. Leaving that in 2000 Rich established Richard Scot Talent (changed to Reel Athletes Inc the following year) with a small roster of 60 people.
R.A now has 1700 people.
Kelly Balon, Agent
Kelly BKelly joined Reel Athletes right after graduating from the Vancouver Film School in 2008. Kelly has worked on community development and entertainment projects since 1999 with a primary focus of using the arts, culture, sports and recreation as tools for social and economic development. His education includes a Diploma in Entertainment Business Management from Vancouver Film School, along with a BA From the University of Saskatchewan.
He is the co-founder of Rhythm and Action Arts, a non-profit society that provides professional development for emerging artists in the urban and multicultural arts. He has produced several arts and cultural events including RAW Wednesdays, a weekly event showcasing Vancouver’s best talent in multicultural arts and hip hop culture; dance competitions, RAW Talent I, II and III. Kelly's diverse range of artists have performed in numerous capacities at corporate events, festivals, and fundraisers throughout Greater Vancouver.
Kelly's focus is on the urban, contemporary and multicultural arts however he works with a variety of athletes and artists. He is constantly working to provide opportunities for artists, whether it be in film, tv, commercials and motion capture, or for live performances at corporate events and festivals.

We have placed people in 100s of commercials, TV shows and movies. Some of our clients include; Smallville, Dead Zone, Masters of Horror, At&T, Nissan, Toyota, and many, many others.

Our Policy
Reel Athletes is licensed (ER114-835) under the Ministry of Labour, Province of British Columbia.
We do not charge any fees for our services. We do not sell any courses or provide any photo/video services.
We do charge a commission (15% for talent) on all work that our clients perform. We are not responsible for any materials (scripts, photo's, videos, etc) that may be submitted in regards to consideration for representation.
